Once upon a time there was a deep, cold river that wound its way through a sleepy little town, but one fine spring evening, the river overflows its banks and floods the town. When the water does not recede after a week, and the townspeople cannot agree on what to do, a little girl decides that she must do something to save the town. Grades K-3. 2000.
